Bermuda Project Track
Building a Bermuda tire recycling and road-material reuse outreach program.
The Bermuda track is focused on helping Armel contact the right agencies, tire sources, road authorities, asphalt contractors, and environmental stakeholders to secure information and non-binding letters of interest.
Armel’s field mission
- Find the correct road/public works contact.
- Find the correct waste management/recycling contact.
- Identify who controls asphalt specifications and road resurfacing.
- Locate tire dealers, garages, rental fleets, buses, trucks, taxis, and public fleet operators.
- Ask how waste tires are currently handled.
- Request a meeting and possible non-binding LOI.
Questions to ask
- How many waste tires are generated monthly or yearly?
- Where are waste tires sent now?
- What does disposal cost?
- Are there storage, stockpile, fire, or dumping issues?
- Who handles road resurfacing and pothole repair?
- Would Bermuda review crumb rubber asphalt or a pilot project?
- Can the authority issue a non-binding letter of interest?
LOIs we want from Bermuda
Waste / Recycling LOI

Roads / Public Works LOI
Interest in reviewing crumb rubber asphalt, paving pilot, or recovered material use.
Private Sector LOI
